How do I Create?

I stare at a blank page and think I have so many things to say, but paper to pen, everything seems too trivial to write about.  I see colors and shapes and think I have so many things to paint.  Brush to canvas,  I draw a blank.  It starts a thought process.  How do I Create? What do I create? Maybe I was simply put here to appreciate the art and creativity of others But it always conjours up the question of what the majority sees when they stare at a blank canvas; be it paper, fabric, etc.    What would you do if you were given the tools to create the ideas you see in your mind?  The world has been changed by many men and women who took the risk to take that first brushstroke, keystroke, stitch.  What keeps you from creating?
